CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) — Nevada lawmakers are converging for a special session in Carson City to consider incentives for electric carmaker Faraday Future to build a plant in North Las Vegas. Tax breaks and infrastructure investments are the only topic on the agenda, and the special session could wrap up tomorrow.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — The mystery surrounding the new owners of the Las Vegas Review-Journal is capturing the attention of the media industry. The recently incorporated News + Media Capital Group LLC bought the Las Vegas Review-Journal and some affiliated publications for $140 million last week. Newspaper officials haven't identified the people behind the company.

NEW YORK (AP) — The Republican presidential debates continue to be a big television draw, with 18 million people tuning in to the confrontation from Las Vegas last night. The Nielsen company says it's the third most-watched among the five GOP primary debates that have taken place so far this year.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Rand Paul says he'd be inclined to return federal land for the proposed Yucca Mountain nuclear waste site back to the state, so the state can decide what to do with it. The answer received applause from about 100 people gathered for a meeting of The Economic Club of Las Vegas a day after the Republican presidential debate held at The Venetian Las Vegas.
