LISBON, Portugal (AP) — Sporting Lisbon beat Moreirense 3-1 to provisionally extend its lead in the Portuguese league after second-place FC Porto's game was suspended due to fog on Sunday.

Gelson Martins, Alberto Aquilani and Islam Slimani all scored for Sporting, before Rafael Martins struck late for the visitors from the penalty spot to end goalkeeper Rui Patricio's run of five rounds without conceding a goal.

Sporting's seventh straight win left it five points clear of Porto before it finishes its match.

Porto was winning 2-1 from goals by Ivan Marcano and Yacine Brahimi when play was stopped due to heavy fog in the 82nd minute. The game will be resumed on Monday.

Also, fourth-place Braga's Nikola Stojiljkovic scored in the second half to earn a 1-0 win at Tondela.
