WORCESTER, Mass. (AP) — Peter Hooley, who finished with 20 points, nailed a 3-point jumper with 1:31 left in the extra period to give Albany (NY) a lead and the Great Danes held on for an 88-84 overtime victory over Holy Cross on Saturday.

Albany (6-3) was trailing 81-79 with 1:46 left in the extra period when Evan Singletary stole the ball, passed to Ray Sanders and Sanders fed Hooley who hit the trey.

Hooley was 3 of 8 from long range, also had nine rebounds and dished out four assists. Mike Rowley, who drove for a layup with one second left in regulation to tie it at 72, added 16 points and Joe Cremo had 13 for Albany.

Anthony Thompson, who made a layup with eight seconds left in regulation to give Holy Cross a 72-70 lead, was 6 of 10 from beyond the arc for 23 points. Malachi Alexander added 18 points for Holy Cross (3-5).
