(KSL News) The judge in the case of accused killer Curtis Allgier has removed himself.
Defense lawyers argued Judge Deno Himonas may be biased in the case. They say Himonas made prejudicial comments about Allgier during a hearing and made indications he might be willing to move ahead in the case without all the defense's evidence.
The motion comes nearly a month after the judge refused to remove Allgier's attorneys. However, the judge denied any bias but said that he stepped down to avoid creating a problem.
