PROVO — A Provo High School student arrested for his alleged role in a hazing incident now faces multiple criminal charges that could potentially send him to prison.

Luis Antonio Castellanos, 18, was charged in 4th District Court Tuesday with three counts of aggravated kidnapping, a first-degree felony, two counts of forcible sexual abuse, a second-degree felony, attempted forcible sexual abuse, a third-degree felony, and three counts of hazing, a class B misdemeanor.

After wrestling practice on Oct. 26, Castallanos and another student were allegedly told by a 17-year-old boy to hold younger wrestlers on the ground while the 17-year-old placed his bare buttocks on their faces, according to a police affidavit filed in court.

The group did it twice to one 15-year-old boy, according to court documents, and attempted to do it to another 16-year-old boy before he was let go.

Bail for Castellanos was set at $20,000. His next court hearing is set for Nov. 17.

There was no immediate word Wednesday whether the other two alleged participants had been charged in juvenile court, or if the Utah County Attorney's Office would seek to have the 17-year-old certified as an adult.
