PROVO — You may remember professional Provo parkour artist Ronnie Shalvis as "Peter Parkour."
Last year his video, "The Amazing Spider-Man Parkour," quickly went viral, garnering about 375,000 views in 24 hours on YouTube. The video now has almost 10 million views, but Shalvis has not been resting on his viral video laurels.
Since the success of the video, Shalvis has continued to vlog and make other parkour videos, including tutorials for aspiring parkour-ers.
For one of his newest videos, Shalvis worked with Provo companies, Shareability and Vizibility Zero, to create a parkour video that takes place in the Minecraft universe.
"Minecraft is one of the most popular videos games (online), especially among kids," Shalvis said. "I'm always trying to reach kids to inspire them to exercise and try new things like parkour."
After all, what youngster wouldn't be excited about their virtual life becoming real life?
Revealing that he still might be a kid himself, Shalvis said inspiring children wasn't exactly his only motivation.
"I also know it would just be a fun video to try to see how many different ways we could incorporate Minecraft CGI into the video."
