(KSL News) -- A debris fire in Provo quickly got out of hand and spread to a nearby field.
The owner of a shop was burning cardboard last night, when winds fanned flames into surrounding weeds. By the time fire crews arrived, the blaze had spread through the field, to a shed and a dozen vehicles parked nearby.
Fire threatened three other structures but none suffered any damage.
Neighbors heard a few explosions, likely from car tires popping.
