PROVO, Utah (AP) — Students attending Brigham Young University will pay more for tuition starting in fall 2016.
The Daily Herald reports (http://bit.ly/1i3QTLl) undergraduate students who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will pay another $75 per semester next year. Non-member undergraduate tuition rates are going up by $150.
University officials attribute the increases to costs for supplies as well as travel.
LDS graduate students will pay $90 more per semester, or $3,340. Non-LDS semester tuition rates for law and business graduate students are going up by $340 to reach $12,310.
Church members pay roughly half the tuition charged for non-members.
