RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — The Earls of Leicester took home four awards, including entertainer of the year and album of the year, at the International Bluegrass Music Awards, while movie star, comedian and musician Steve Martin was honored as a bluegrass ambassador.

Nearly two dozen awards were presented on Thursday, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Martin, a banjo player, was among five to receive a distinguished achievement award for his work with Edie Brickell and the Steep Canyon Rangers.

The Earls of Leicester, a Grammy-winning musical group honoring the legendary artists Lester Flatts and Earl Scruggs, also won gospel recorded performance of the year and instrumental group of the year.

Balsam Range won vocal group and song of the year, while Rhonda Vincent and Shawn Camp won female and male vocalist of the year, respectively.
