ELKO, Nev. (AP) — Authorities in Nevada say they have found the body of a Colorado man who went missing three years ago while riding an Amtrak train home. The Elko Daily Free Press reports that Elko County Undersheriff Clair Morris says the remains of Robin Putnam have been positively identified. He says a railroad worker doing maintenance near Wells found a skull and deputies located Putnam's body next to the tracks.

INCLINE VILLAGE, Nev. (AP) — A church in Incline Village has been vandalized, the latest in a string of similar incidents in the Lake Tahoe area. KTVN-TV in Reno reports Washoe County deputies were called yesterday to investigate vandalism of The Village Church, one of six that was previously vandalized in April on Easter Sunday.

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Authorities have identified the man who was fatally shot by Las Vegas police after he allegedly pulled out a handgun during a chase. KTNV-TV in Las Vegas reports that the Clark County coroner says 25-year-old James Brown died of a gunshot wound to the chest. Brown was the third occupant in a car being pursued by police.

YERINGTON, Nev. (AP) — Republican presidential hopeful Marco Rubio will make history for a rural, west Nevada town when he visits there this week. The mayor of Yerington tells the Reno Gazette-Journal that the small town has never been a campaign stop for an active presidential candidate. The Florida senator is conducting a multi-stop tour of northern Nevada today.
