BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Micron Technology Inc. is planning a $200 million expansion at its Boise campus.
The company, which develops computer memory and storage, plans to expand research and development by 30 percent with a major building project. Officials say they hope to add 50,000 square feet.
Officials say construction is expected to begin in October and be completed by 2017.
A Micron spokesman did not say how many jobs the expansion will bring to the area. Currently there are about 6,000 Micron employees in Idaho.
