Fire victim likely committed suicide

(KSL News) A fire at a Cottonwood Heights home was likely set by a man committing suicide.

The body of a man was found in this home after fire crews put out the flames Wednesday afternoon. Investigators say he was not far from the kitchen, where accelerants had been poured to start the fire.

Police also say those who knew the man reported he was having "paranoid thoughts."

The man's name has not been released.
