(KSL News) -- The Republican primary in House district 42 has finally been decided.
Jim Bird defeated incumbent Peggy Wallace by 25 votes in a recount held today. That is the same margin by which Bird bested Wallace in the original count.
Bird now moves on to the general election November seventh.
