(KSL News) Over a hundred artists are adding colorful murals to the Gateway.

Thousands of families will watch 126 artists from Utah and around the country create colorful but temporary murals at the Chalk Art Festival today and tomorrow.

By 4 p.m. tomorrow, three blocks of Rio Grande Street will be covered in chalk masterpieces. And this year, there's a new category of chalk drawings in 3-D.

Chalk Art Festival to benefit Utah children in foster care

Proceeds from festival will benefit Utah's 2600 children who need foster families.

The festival will run until 9:00 tonight. Tomorrow, the festival will be from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m.
