MURRAY — The Utah Falconz defeated opponents by an average margin of victory of 62 points during Independent Women's Football League regular-season play.
It was more of the same Saturday at Cottonwood High School in the second round of the league playoffs.
The Falconz opened the game with a quick round of 27-unanswered points and cruised to the finish in a rout of the previously undefeated Sacramento Sirens, 61-0 to advance to the Western Conference final.
Utah (8-0) has outscored its two playoff opponents 124-0. The women's football team will host the Madison Blaze in the conference finals July 11 at Cottonwood with a berth in the national championship game July 25 in South Carolina on the line.
