JACKSON, Mich. (AP) — Prosecutors have added six additional charges against a former Michigan Catholic school priest, teacher and wrestling coach in connection with reported sexual assaults of boys more than three decades ago.
James Rapp now faces 19 criminal sexual conduct charges after two more alleged victims came forward.
The Jackson Citizen Patriot reports (http://bit.ly/1eMM08Q ) the charges were amended Friday at a district court hearing.
The 76-year-old Rapp waived a preliminary examination, sending the case to circuit court. Bond is set at $1 million.
The state attorney general's office says the abuse took place from 1981 to 1986.
Rapp was assigned to Jackson Lumen Christi High School. He was told to leave in 1987 after molestation allegations surfaced.
He was sentenced to prison in 1999 for sexually abusing teenage boys in Oklahoma.
