ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) — The red Cadillac Escalade used by polygamous church leader Warrren Jeffs when he tried to flee authorities will be for sale in St. George.

The Spectrum reports that the Escalade and the credit cards, gift cards and other items found inside it will be auctioned off on the courthouse steps Monday morning.

Jeffs was in the vehicle when he was caught and arrested in 2006. Although he is still considered the prophet and leader of the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day-Saints, Jeffs is currently serving a life prison sentence in Texas. He was convicted in 2011 of sexually assaulting underage girls he considered brides.

The auction is part of an effort to satisfy a lawsuit judgment in favor of a former bodyguard for Jeffs.
