The Utah National Guard is seeking an adjustment in the ownership of land it already manages in order to expedite the approval process for future building projects.
Col. Scot Olson, director of facilities and construction for the Utah National Guard, says the Guard is in the early stages of gaining more land for the base and planning new facilities to accommodate the growth.
Right now, the camp includes about 28,000 acres of land owned by the Utah National Guard, the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
