TOOELE — A woman hit by a vehicle early Friday morning died as a result of the injuries, police said.
The accident occurred near 740 N. Main Street around 5:30 a.m., according to Tooele City police. A female pedestrian was hit by a pickup truck and was critically injured in the accident.
She was transported to the University of Utah hospital where she later died as a result of the injuries, police said. The victim was identified as 25-year-old Veronica Pedersen of Tooele.
The details of the accident are currently under investigation, but police did release that Pedersen was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothing.
