(KSL News) -- The University of Utah is getting its "U" back.
A vigorous campaign raised the 460-thousand dollars necessary to restore the block U, anchored by a grant from philanthropists Ira and Mary Lou Fulton.
Renovation work will start right away and should be done in time for football season.
The restoration project will include a drainage system, landscaping and vegetation to protect against erosion.
