CLEVELAND (AP) — LeBron James will play against Sacramento on Friday night after missing a game because of a sprained right wrist.
The team made the announcement before the game. The Cavaliers are aiming for their ninth straight win.
James injured his wrist late in the third quarter Tuesday night when he fell after trying to block a shot by Detroit guard Jodie Meeks.
James watched from the bench Wednesday as Kyrie Irving scored 55 points in a 99-94 win over Portland. Irving, who was voted onto the Eastern Conference All-Star team Thursday, hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 6.4 seconds left.
Cleveland is 2-8 without James this season.
James didn't play when the Kings routed the Cavaliers 103-84 in Sacramento on Jan. 11.
