BALTIMORE (AP) — Authorities in Maryland say a freshman Johns Hopkins University lacrosse player from Las Vegas was found dead in his dorm room on Sunday night.

University officials identified the student as Jeremy Huber.

Baltimore police are investigating Huber's death, but a department spokesman says detectives haven't found evidence of foul play.

Dave Pietramala, the Johns Hopkins men's lacrosse coach, said in a statement Monday the team is "stunned and deeply saddened" by Huber's death.

Huber had been enrolled in Johns Hopkins' Krieger School of the Arts.
