SOUTH OGDEN — The 11-month-old who nearly drowned in a bathtub Saturday made “dramatic improvement” and is in stable condition, police said.

The mother of the 11-month-old called 911, reporting that her daughter had swallowed bath water, according to South Ogden police Sgt. Trent Olsen.

The child was rushed to Ogden Regional Hospital and was later airlifted to Primary Children’s Hospital in critical condition, Olsen said. Police said the infant made a great recovery and was expected to be released from the hospital within a couple days.

Olsen said police do not suspect foul play, but the investigation is still underway.
