SALT LAKE CITY — Aleksandra shared a story with anonymousthankyous.com that changed her life.

This is what she said:

"About 10 years ago, I was attending LDS Business College in Salt Lake City with a lot of hopes and dreams of a better future, when the reality of not being able to find a job for about nine months hit. With less than a week left before the tuition was due, I didn't have anything to make the payment. Not being from this country, I couldn't apply for financial aid or for a loan at a bank. I couldn't take a semester off, because it would have meant for me to return to my country.

"One of the students, who attended the school with me and who didn't know me well, noticed that something was bothering me. When he asked if he could do anything for me, I shared my concern about tuition.

"A day or two later that student walked over to me and handed me a check written out to school on my behalf equal to the amount of one semester of tuition. The check was from a man I never had a chance to meet or to thank! Because of that man, not only am I still here in the country, I graduated from a four-year college with a business degree, found a good job, and now I'm fortunate enough to be able to help one student to attend LDS Business College.

"To that man, whose name unfortunately I do not know, I want to say 'THANK YOU' from the bottom of my heart. I hope to meet you someday and to thank you in person. The only way I can think of repaying him right now is to pay for someone's school."
