Randall Jeppesen reportingPolice say a man who was caught pretending to be a Wal-Mart employee in Springville has probably been doing the same thing at Wal-Marts all over the Wasatch Front.

According to Springivlle police Lt. Dave Caron, the man went into the store, told employees he was from the corporate office, and then went to work.

"He got behind one of the counters, removed a cash drawer, even took the time to answer questions from a customer, and then walked out with the cash drawer," Caron said.

Police were able to arrest the suspect when he came back several days later. "[He was] posing again as an employee, trying to wheel out a big-screen TV," Caron said.

Caron says they've received reports from Wal-Marts up and down the Wasatch Front of similar stories where a man has walked out with cash drawers, and this suspect appears to fit the description.
