POCATELLO, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho woman and her 14-year-old daughter died in a rollover crash on a snowy interstate south of Pocatello yesterday morning. The Idaho State Police says five of the woman's other children were injured. The driver has been identified as 38-year-old Rachel Hollibaugh of Dietrich. The crash occurred as a winter storm hit the region.
CALDWELL, Idaho (AP) — One person was killed and two others were taken to a hospital after a Christmas Eve stabbing in Caldwell. Caldwell Police told KBOI the three people were attacked by a person who left the scene. A 22-year-old victim later died of his injuries. Police have not identified him. The other two men are expected to recover.
MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) — A Florida man was arrested In Meridian after leading police on a chase. The Idaho Press Tribune reports the chase began on Tuesday evening after Meridian police received a report of a possible drunk driver in the drive thru at a McDonald's restaurant. Officers arrested 38-year-old Michael Sapp after a chase that reached speeds of more than 90 miles per hour.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — An agreement has been reached for two companies to build a $2 million fertilizer plant in American Falls. The Idaho Statesman reports ConAgra Foods and Magnida say arrangements for financing the new fertilizer plant have been in the works for more than six years. Construction on the new plant could begin in 2015.
