BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Your Health Idaho's executive director says nearly 74,000 Idahoans have selected a health insurance plan on the state-based exchange. Pat Kelly told exchange board members today that the number fell somewhere mid-range of the exchange's projections. State officials have promised a smoother insurance shopping experience this year, compared to technical glitches that delayed enrollment in 2013.

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Idaho beer distributors are taking issue with a Boise brewpub now that the business has been purchased by Anheuser-Busch. The Idaho Statesman reports the beer outlets contend that 10 Barrel brewpub is now too big to operate as a small brewery under Idaho state law. 10 Barrel brewery produces about 42,000 barrels sold in Oregon, Idaho and Washington state.

COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho (AP) — School district officials in northern Idaho's Coeur d'Alene say they're $1.8 million short when it comes to paying for a new school scheduled to open next fall. The Spokesman-Review reports Superintendent Matt Handelman said he learned about the shortfall about two months ago, and has since increased oversight of the $8 million construction project.

ST. ANTHONY, Idaho (AP) — An Idaho man has been sentenced to 2 years' probation after Idaho Fish and Game officials said he illegally killed a grizzly bear. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game announced the conviction yesterday, saying it was the first time the state has successfully prosecuted such a case since grizzly bears were protected under the Endangered Species Act in 1975. Normally the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service handles those types of cases.
