(KSL News) -- In the last two weeks abandoned buildings have gone up in flames in Farmington and Sandy. Now a vacant building in Salt Lake has burned.
Salt Lake fire crews got the call around 1 this morning. When they arrived both floors of the two story building were fully engulfed.
The building, a former motorcycle club, has been abandoned since 1998. While they don't have a cause yet, fire investigators say there's no doubt where the fire started.
Dennis McKone, Asst. Fire Chief, Salt Lake City Fire Dept.: "With the way the building was boarded up and everything the fire most likely did start on the inside. It would take considerable time before it would break loose... I mean break out... And somebody would be able to see it."
The structure is considered a total loss. Assistant Fire Chief says hopefully it will be torn down.
