JACKSONVILLE, Ala. (AP) — Miles Jones ran for three touchdowns and Jacksonville State dominated Austin Peay 56-0 on Saturday.

Jacksonville State (7-1, 5-0 Ohio Valley Conference) outgained Austin Peay (1-8, 1-4) 655 to 144 yards. JSU held two Governors' quarterbacks to 31 yards passing combined.

The Gamecocks took their first possession 65 yards on seven plays, culminating with Troymaine Pope's 9-yard touchdown run. That started a run where JSU scored on each of its first four possessions, running up a 28-0 first quarter lead, including Jones' 4-yard scamper.

Jones ran for two more touchdowns — of 21- and 22-yards — in the third quarter as Jacksonville State continued the rout.

DeMarcus James added a 2-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter to go with his 99 yards on the ground. JSU had five runners with more than 55 yards. Josh Barge had seven catches for 110 yards.
