(KSL News) A small plane made a forced landing on Utah's west desert.
The plane landed on the Salt Flats west of Tooele. It's a flight school trainer owned by Salt Lake Community College.
The pilot realized at about 75-hundred feet the throttle wasn't working.
Brandon Stowe, Salt Lake Community College: "We only had about 1400 rpm's. We just had to pick somewhere to land and put it down, unfortunately."
No word yet on just what went wrong with the plane.
