PROVO, Utah (AP) -- In the Republican stronghold of Utah County, it's not GOP candidates who are raising the most money.
In six of 11 county-based races, Democrats have out-raised their Republican competitors.
The chairman of Utah County Democratic Party says the fundraising is a sign that many people are frustrated with Republican leadership in the Legislature. No Utah County Democrat has held an elected office for more than a decade.
However, some Republicans have raised significantly more money than their Democratic opponents.
Senate Majority Leader Curt Bramble of Provo has about $70,000 in the bank compared with less than $300 raised by Democratic challenger Fred Desposorio.
And Republicans also haven't distributed money from their annual Lincoln Day dinner, which raised $50,000.
