SALT LAKE CITY — A Salt Lake City man is recovering from a gunshot wound to the head after a rival gang confrontation outside a night club.
The 1:47 a.m. Sunday shooting near Club California, 51 E. 900 South, was witnessed by a Utah Highway Patrol trooper who gave chase and was able to capture two fleeing men implicated in the crime.
Salt Lake police Lt. Lance Vandongen said the man remains hospitalized for his injuries, but his condition is improving.
The shooting is being investigated as an attempted homicide.
