(KSL News) An attempted traffic stop overnight was drawn out into a lengthy chase through the Salt Lake Valley.
Police first tried to pull over a car in West Valley City last night. They believed it was the same car involved in a carjacking in Midvale yesterday afternoon.
But the driver took off and led police on a chase for more than half an hour on the freeway and through neighborhoods. It eventually ended on a dead-end street in Salt Lake around 1700 East and 300 South.
A woman got out of the car and ran. Three men inside the car were arrested. Police eventually caught up with the woman.
They also found narcotics and a handgun inside the car.
