WASHINGTON (AP) — Michelle Obama is making her debut on the ABC daytime talk show "The Chew."
The network says a taped segment featuring the first lady talking about school nutrition and the benefits of cooking at home will air next Friday — Oct. 3.
She is joining co-hosts Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Carla Hall, Clinton Kelly and Daphne Oz in their kitchen to discuss both issues.
Since 2010, Mrs. Obama has led a nationwide effort to combat childhood obesity.
The segment was taped this week when the first lady was in New York with President Barack Obama, who attended the U.N. General Assembly.
