LAS VEGAS (AP) — Casino giant MGM Resorts International has filed a lawsuit saying the M'Life name obtained by a Las Vegas marijuana dispensary is too close to the resort's own M life customer loyalty program. The marijuana dispensary owner says he doesn't want his business to be confused with a casino loyalty program. He says they can work out an agreement.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — A WestJet flight from Las Vegas to Canada has made an emergency landing at McCarran International Airport just 13 minutes after takeoff. An airport spokeswoman says the crew worried the plane might have a fuel leak shortly after it took off. A WestJet spokesman says the airline later cleared the aircraft to continue its journey.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — Another arrest warrant has been issued in Las Vegas for the troubled 34-year-old son of a southern Nevada rancher whose backers faced down federal agents to end a cattle roundup in April. Records show that Cliven Lance Bundy failed to appear Tuesday before a Nevada state court judge overseeing a drug diversion program. Lance Bundy is facing two to eight years in state prison if he's found in violation of his parole.
FERNLEY, Nev. (AP) — Federal officials are giving more than $700,000 to expand the Northern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Fernley. The money will help the cemetery develop about three more acres and will cover the cost of road construction, landscaping and columbaria for holding cremated remains.
