WANSHIP, Summit County — The driver of a semitruck was uninjured after crashing on I-80 early Friday morning.

It was reported that the driver had died, but police say he was uninjured.

The semitruck crossed over the median from the westbound lane around mile post 155 after the driver fell asleep. The driver over-corrected when the semitruck hit a guardrail, causing the truck to push several concrete barriers into opposing traffic, blocking the eastbound lanes and some of the westbound lanes.

Police have not released the driver's name.

Traffic was diverted onto the westbound side of the highway. But all lanes of traffic have been since opened.
