CATOPOLIS — It’s hard to find someone who doesn’t enjoy a good cat video.
Friday is World Cat Day, so naturally we thought it would be a great idea if everyone took a brief moment to appreciate the humor the feline species has to offer. The Internet has made it easier than ever to find the most entertaining of cats.

Henri 2, paw de deux

“The 15 hours a day I sleep have no effect,” the cat narrates. “I wake to the same tedium.”
Cat jump fail
Cats may always land on their feet, but that doesn’t mean the process is always graceful. This cat’s failed jump from one ledge to another was set to music and entertained millions when posted to YouTube.
Maru and his boxes
Lots of cats like boxes, but Japanese cat Maru takes it to the extreme. No box is too small for Maru to settle into and even big boxes aren’t daunting enough to scare him away — he’ll just pop right back out after finding a way in.
Shark Cat
When you own a cat, litter boxes need tending to and hairballs need to be picked up, so it’s nice when a cat it willing to chip in and help with the cleaning. It’s even better if they’re wearing a shark costume while doing it.
Keyboard Cat
With more than 36 million views in the past seven years, Charlie Schmidt’s Keyboard Cat is a classic. The video shows a cat jamming while wearing a sweet jacket. “Fatso” the cat may have had some help to hit those notes, but his performance is still entertaining.
Nyan Cat
To send you on your way back to surfing the Internet, here is a video of the animated Nyan Cat running through the stars and leaving a rainbow trail behind him. Fun fact: “nyan” is the sound for “meow” in Japanese.
