(KSL News) The Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office is investigating a possible assault along the 2100 South freeway.
Last night a woman passing a motorcycle accident near 2100 South and 8000 West reported a man lying on the side of the road. Salt Lake County Sheriff's deputies searched the area and found a man bleeding from the head and wandering in a field.

Lt. Jay Southam of the Salt Lake County Sheriff's Office said, "He was either incapable of telling us how he was injured or perhaps not sure because he is injured."
Deputies still aren't sure what caused the man's injuries but say they are consistent with assault. The man was taken by helicopter to the hospital.
