(KSL News) Tonight there are reports of a possible new FLDS compound in West Central Colorado. Denver station KUSA reported that neighbors are concerned polygamists may be creating a new compound on property in Crawford, Colorado.

A tall privacy fence was recently put in, gates into the area are chained, and "No trespassing" signs have gone up. Also, a van with tinted windows has been seen coming and going, a vehicle reminiscent of those used by followers of Warren Jeffs.

Colorado resident Mike Hart said, "We are fairly certain something is going on out there. No one would work that hard to conceal themselves from the rest of the community if there was not something out there."

The Delta County Sheriff says he plans to try to talk to the group living on the site later this week.

We consulted an investigator familiar with the Jeffs group. He says he's aware of the compound in Crawford but hasn't determined if they are loyal to Jeffs or, perhaps, people Jeffs kicked out of the group.
