SPRING CITY, Sanpete County — A 4.2-magnitude earthquake shook central Utah Saturday evening, according to the University of Utah seismograph station.

The quake hit at 6:58 p.m. about four miles southeast of Spring City, data from the seismograph station website shows.

The Sanpete County emergency dispatch center had no reports of injuries or damage.

A smaller earthquake struck the same area just after 8 p.m., according to the United States Geological Survey website. That one was measured at 3.0 magnitude.
