SALT LAKE CITY — A 22-year-old man with a knife wound was found Tuesday afternoon near a Salt Lake City shelter.
Salt Lake City police detective Veronica Montoya said the man was found near The Road Home at 210 S. Rio Grande St. around 4:40 p.m. A witness saw the man walking in the area and called police. He had a knife wound on his upper chest and he was transported to a local hospital. The injury was not considered life-threatening, police said.
The victim was under the influence of spice when he was found, and Montoya said it was difficult to gather information during the investigation. Police were unable to find any witnesses to the stabbing.
