SALT LAKE CITY — The Metro Gang Unit is asking for help to locate its new Public Enemy No. 1.
Jamie Ralph Hamlin, 33, is a convicted felon who has warrants out for his arrest for a weapons violation and theft, according to the Metro Gang Unit. Investigators said he is a member of a violent street gang and also goes by the name “Devious.”
He should be considered armed and dangerous, according to investigators. They said he has previously been arrested for aggravated assault, theft, numerous weapons violations, drugs and resisting arrest.
Investigators said Hamlin is about 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. He has brown eyes, a shaved head and tattoos on his face, scalp and neck.
The Metro Gang Unit’s previous Public Enemy No. 1, Rodrigo Scott Burquez, was arrested in May after being on the unit's most wanted list for about a year.
A cash reward may be available to those who provide information that leads to Hamlin’s arrest. Anyone with information about Hamlin can anonymously contact investigators by calling 801-743-7000.
