SOUTH JORDAN — Police have released surveillance photos of vandalism suspects in the Daybreak community.
Police responded to a call around 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and found vulgar words spray-painted near 4600 West and 10600 South, said South Jordan Police Sgt. Eric Anderson.
The suspects damaged 10 model homes and one vehicle in the East Lake Model Home Village overnight, police said. A security camera installed in one of the vandalized homes captured images of two suspects who appear to be white teenage boys, one with light hair and the other with dark hair, according to police.
Crews were working Tuesday morning to clean model homes, homes under construction, lights, signs, a vehicle and decorative rocks that were tagged. Crews were able to paint over the graffiti on homes under construction, Anderson said. Damage is estimated at between $5,000 and $6,000.
Investigators were following leads Tuesday and say those involved could face felony criminal mischief charges, Anderson said.
