PTWF Commends Palestinian Muslim Professor Mohammad Dajani for Taking

Al-Quds University Students on Historic Visit to Auschwitz

NEW YORK, April 14, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Pave the Way

Foundation (PTWF), a nonsectarian organization whose mission is to

achieve peace by eliminating non-theological obstacles and initiating

historic gestures between the world's religions, commends the recent

actions of Professor Mohammad S. Dajani Daoudi in his sincere effort

to achieve peace through truth and historical accuracy. Professor

Dajani recently brought 30 Palestinian university students to visit

the Auschwitz concentration camp.

Mohammed S. Dajani Daoudi is the founder of the Wasatia movement,

which promotes moderation in Islam, and the director of the American

Studies department at Al-Quds University.

Facing criticism from some Palestinian leaders, Professor Dajani

conducted this historic visit to Auschwitz in order to reveal the

truth of Jewish suffering during the Holocaust. PTWF commends

Professor Dajani for his important efforts to show the true history of

the Holocaust, to counter an atmosphere of Holocaust denial and

historical revision, aimed only to incite hatred.

Gary Krupp, Founder and President of PTWF, stated, "Throughout

history, those with private agendas have distorted history to achieve

their goals. The masses have been deceived by manipulating media in

concert with these efforts. Media manipulation has been a necessary

tool to inspire hatred, violence and war."

Professor Mohammed Dajani has inspired countless Palestinian students

to achieve their legitimate aspirations by recognizing the virtues of

the three faiths of Abraham.

Chairman of PTWF, Elliot Hershberg, said, "The precepts of Islam,

Christianity, and Judaism demand justice through truth. Yet, some will

attempt to revise history to justify provocative actions and

statements. A solid foundation of truth from all sides is essential if

peace in the Middle East is ever to be achieved."
