IRVINE, Calif. (AP) — Will Davis II scored 14 points to lead UC Irvine in a 74-46 rout against UC Davis, and the Anteaters clinched the Big West title to close out the regular season on Saturday night.

Davis finished with a team-high nine rebounds. Chris McNealy, the Anteaters lone senior, scored 10 points and finished with four assists, and Luke Nelson chipped in 10 points as well.

UC Irvine (22-10, 13-3) ended the first half shooting just 11 of 33 (33.3 percent) from the floor but led 35-28. The Anteaters 17-4 run — which spanned the first 10 minutes of the second half — gave them a double-digit lead that they never gave up. UC Davis went over 6 minutes without a basket during the run.

Georgi Funtarov and Corey Hawkins led the Aggies (9-22, 4-12) with nine points each.

The Big West tournament begins on Thursday, March 13.
