RENO, Nev. (AP) — Squaw Valley is planning a special celebration March 21 to honor more than a dozen U.S. Olympians from the Reno-Lake Tahoe area who competed in the Winter Games in Sochi, including three who brought home gold.

The Friday night event at the resort that hosted the 1960 Olympics coincides with the U.S. Alpine Championships being held there that weekend.

Dubbed a "Welcome Home Celebration," Squaw Valley CEO Andy Wirth says it will include an athlete parade, video presentations, fireworks, live music and autograph sessions.

Freestyle skiers David Wise of Reno and Maddie Bowman of South Lake Tahoe and South Tahoe snowboarder Jamie Anderson all won gold medals.

Squaw Valley's own Julia Mancuso won a bronze to go with the gold she won in 2006 and two silvers in 2010.
