EMMITSBURG, Md. (AP) — Sam Prescott scored 26 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and hit 4 of 6 3-pointers Saturday as Mount St. Mary's dominated Saint Francis (Pa) 78-55.

Earl Brown opened with a layup for Saint Francis (9-20, 7-9 Northeast Conference), but it was all Mount St. Mary's after that, with the Mountaineers using runs of 10-2 and 17-2 to build a 45-25 halftime lead. With a combined 27 points, Prescott and Julian Norfleet outscored the Red Flash in the half.

Saint Francis showed some life in the second half with a 13-0 run, but the Mountaineers had a 13-0 run of their own and finished shooting 53.6 percent from the field to 40 percent for Saint Francis.

Rashad Whack scored 19 for the Mountaineers (13-16, 9-7), Norfleet had 17, including 3 of 3 from distance, and Mount St. Mary's out-rebounded the Red Flash 37-27.

Earl Brown led Saint Francis with 12 points.
