CEDAR CITY, Utah (AP) -- The nation's deputy drug czar says Utah is one of the top states in prescription drug use.

Scott Burns, the deputy director of national drug control policy and a former Iron County attorney, says most kids who abuse prescription drugs find them in medicine cabinets at home.

He also says the use of methamphetamines in the state is falling. He says authorities found three sites in 2007, compared to a peak of 272 in 1999.

Burns met with Gov. Jon Huntsman and Attorney General Mark Shurtleff on Thursday to talk about how Utah sizes up compared to the rest of the country.
