SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- The Transportation Security Administration says a test program at Salt Lake City International Airport to shorten lines at security checkpoints is a success.
The program began last month. It asks travelers to choose one of three lines depending on their luggage and how much flying experience they have. There are lines for expert travelers, casual fliers and passengers with children or first-time passengers.
The administration says the program has cut wait times by 35 percent.
The program, which is currently in place in Salt Lake and Denver, will roll out to six more airports by the end of April.
