SOUTH JORDAN — The South Jordan Police Department is asking for help identifying a male suspect wanted for two armed robberies from the South Jordan Maverik.

The man entered the Maverik, located at 10419 S. 2700 West, on Jan. 14 wearing a dark-colored hoodie and bandana to hide his identity, Sgt. Larimie Lancaster of the SJPD said in a press release. The man pulled a handgun from his waistband and demanded cash from the clerk before leaving on foot after receiving the money, Lancaster said.

Four days later on Jan. 18, the same man returned to the Maverik wearing a navy and orange knit hat and bandana to conceal his face, police said. The suspect allegedly demanded cash from the clerk but did not show a weapon. He left the store after receiving money and cartons of Camel-brand cigarettes, according to Lancaster.

The suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous. Please contact the South Jordan Police Department at (801) 840-4000 with any information.
